<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Growing your own food organically is the alternative, but the tricky pest problem remains, fortunately, vinegar is a great alternative to these artificial toxins! Discover 10 creative ways to harness the power of White Vinegar for a healthier and more productive garden.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">1. Use vinegar to keep the fruit fly out of your garden</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vinegar helps ward off insects that attack plants, such as the fruit fly, also known as Drosophila Melanogaster. You must be asking how you can use vinegar to ward off this pest. I advise you to do it as follows: mix in a bottle or can a cup of water, half of apple cider vinegar and half a cup of sugar. As this mixture is sweet, the flies will be entertained with this mixture and will move away from their fruit trees.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">2.&nbsp;Use vinegar to keep animals out of your garden and garden</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cats, for example, cannot stand the smell of white wine vinegar, so you can use it to protect your plants. To do this, dip some rags of old cloth in white vinegar and create a kind of “fence” around your garden with them. You will see that it keeps away the most persistent intruders.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">3. To water plants that need more acidity, use vinegar</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As you may already know, not all plants have the same chemical and biological needs to grow and develop. Some plants need more acidic soil, and therefore you can use vinegar to acidify the medium. Have you tried watering your plants that need more acidity with apple cider vinegar?</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For this purpose, I advise you to use the following recipe: a cup of apple cider vinegar for a proportion of three liters of water. But A LOT OF ATTENTION! Do not abuse this aqueous solution as not all plants can withstand a sudden increase in acidity in the soil (therefore, select well the plants where you will apply this homemade recipe). Also, avoid spraying on plants as it can kill many of them.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">4. Eliminate weeds in your garden with vinegar</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vinegar can be considered a herbicide. This means that if you put a solution of water and vinegar previously prepared on the weed plants located on the walls or roadsides, they will eventually die. Want to know more about weed plants? Please read my article here.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">5. Use vinegar to disinfect garden tools</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Do you need to clean the devices you use for gardening or in your garden and need a quick and effective recipe? Use vinegar water for this purpose. You can also use this aqueous solution to disinfect tools, pots, and germination trays, thus preventing the transmission of fungi and diseases that can affect plant growth and development.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">6. Remove slugs and snails from your garden</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Slugs and snails die with white wine vinegar. How about placing vinegar traps throughout your yard? You can also spray this solution on these enemies in the garden. Do not forget that you should repeat this treatment whenever justified, as well as after rainy days. Also, check that this behavior does not affect the plants in the vicinity (check that the surrounding plants resist white vinegar). If you want to know more ways to end snails and slugs, see this article here.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">7. Use vinegar to treat fungus or aphids on plants</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Try using a mixture of vinegar with water (through a spray bottle) to remove aphids and other insects that manifest as actual pests on the leaves of plants. You can also use this solution to combat fungi attacks on trees (only if they are not sensitive to vinegar, of course).</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">8.&nbsp; Cleaning the tools</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Anyone who uses tools either for implantation or for maintenance of the garden or vegetable garden knows that they are super important. The problem is that many times, over time, these utensils end up rusting</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">9. Increasing the durability of cut flowers</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">An environment is always more charming when it is decorated with cut flowers. The problem is that these flowers, having been cut, have little durability. But would it be possible to add a solution that would increase the strength of these arrangements? Yes, there is, and for that, you will need white vinegar.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">10. Cleaning ceramic vases</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ceramic pots are excellent both for ornamentation and to bring benefits to plants. It works very well when it comes to drainage, as it keeps the plant’s roots moist, without letting them get soaked.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The desire to move away from toxic pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and artificial fertilizers is&nbsp;gaining popularity as health awareness is on the rise.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Growing your own food organically is the alternative, but the tricky pest problem remains, fortunately, vinegar is a great alternative to these artificial toxins!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vinegar can&nbsp;simultaneously enhance the life of a plant and kill weeds.&nbsp;</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Get Rid of Weeds</strong></h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Get rid of&nbsp;unwanted garden growth&nbsp;by pouring apple cider vinegar onto weeds.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><u><strong>Vinegar Weed Killer Recipe</strong></u></strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>1-gallon white vinegar</li>

<li>1 cup salt or Epsom salt</li>

<li>⅛ cup dish soap</li>
</ul>

<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>Combine all ingredients together and shake or stir until thoroughly combined.</li>

<li>Let sit for a while before using it so that the soap bubbles can deflate.</li>

<li>Use a hand or garden sprayer and apply the solution to grasses, weeds, or plants you’d like to kill.</li>

<li>Thoroughly wet both the top and underside of leaves and all areas of the plant down to the ground. It is best to do this on a calm, windless day with strong sunlight, preferably early in the morning so that the sun can help the solution work.</li>
</ol>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Be sure not to spray this solution onto plants that you want to keep. Also, the vinegar can affect the soil pH, at least for a few days, which usually will not kill other plants but may cause some stress and upset soil balance. The salt in the solution can also be harmful to nearby plants and will remain in the soil longer than the vinegar’s effects. This vinegar-based weed killer is especially useful along paths and walkways where there are no other plants that can be potentially harmed and where you do not care to have any plant regrow anyway.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Keep Cut Flowers Fresh</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On that note, vinegar can be used to in the following recipe as a flower preservative in cut flower vases. It will keep the water fresher and help your cut flowers to last longer, and possibly help prevent some of those unsightly rings to begin with.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><u>Flower Preservative Recipe</u></strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>1 quart of water</li>

<li>2 tablespoons of vinegar</li>

<li>1 teaspoon of sugar</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Combine all ingredients, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Use to water flowers. Replace every few days or as needed if the water becomes cloudy.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Food for Acidic-Loving Plants</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Plants like gardenias, holly, azaleas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, and begonias grow beautifully in acidic soil. Spray them with a mixture of 1 gallon of water to 1 cup of white vinegar to help them grow.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Removes Fruit Flies</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To keep fruit flies and household flies at bay, you should mix half a cup of apple cider vinegar, a tablespoon of molasses, a quarter cup of sugar and a cup of water.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Then, pour the mixture into a suitable container and hang it on the fruit tree. Fruit flies will be trapped in it as soon as they try to attack the mixture.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Cleanse Your Hands of Allergens</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You can wind up with dirt and allergens on your hands after spending a day working in your garden. Wash your hands with some distilled vinegar to cleanse them of debris and make sure that they don’t itch.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Kill Ants</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spray ant hills with one part water and one part vinegar to kill them. Spray areas where ants are likely to invade to keep them at bay.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Wash Your Garden Tools</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You can soak garden tools, like a rake or hoe, overnight in vinegar to get rid of rust and grime. You can also fill a plastic bag with vinegar and tie it over a water spigot to keep it submerged. Rinse everything off with water.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Get Rid of Slugs and Snails</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If slugs and snails are compromising your&nbsp;plant growth, spray them with some undiluted vinegar. This will make them wither and die.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Clean Out Your Birdbath</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mix some undiluted water with white vinegar and use it to scrub your birdbath. Make sure to rinse it off with water.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Keep Kitty Away</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If your kitty is using your garden or your kid’s sandbox as a toilet then you can pour some distilled vinegar into the sand or soil to keep them away.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Keep Flowers Fresh</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Help freshly cut flowers from your garden last by adding two tablespoons of vinegar and a&nbsp;teaspoon of sugar&nbsp;to a quart of water before adding your flowers.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Whether you are living in a studio apartment with couple windows or in a house with few darker rooms, here are 15 best houseplants that need zero sunlight for healthy growth. Even though some of them do well in medium light, they are just fine in low light too.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you are ready to add those&nbsp;plants&nbsp;to your space then keep on reading the article.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Bromeliads</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="800" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3876" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-scaled.jpeg 800w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-80x60.jpeg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bromeliads are perfect plants to grow indoors and most of the varieties of this plant thrive in a container in shade. It is a tropical plant and grows anywhere even in luminescent light.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Dragon Tree</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="497" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3875" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-scaled.jpeg 497w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-248x300.jpeg 248w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-768x927.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-50x60.jpeg 50w" sizes="(max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The dragon tree is a plant which is impossible to kill. But, direct sunlight and over watering will make the plant look dreadful.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Spider Plant</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="800" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3877" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464.jpeg 800w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464-80x60.jpeg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The spider plant is one of the most popular indoor plants and extremely easy to care and even to grow. The best part about this plant is it is a great indoor air cleanser and looks great in hanging planters.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Peace Lilly</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="600" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3878" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-scaled.jpeg 600w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-60x60.jpeg 60w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you often forget to water your houseplants, acquire a peace lily, it is forgiving. Incredibly easy to grow, peace lily flourishes in shady locations. It also cleans up the air.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Chinese evergreen</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="600" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3879" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-scaled.jpeg 600w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-60x60.jpeg 60w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Chinese evergreen plant is considered as an expert in household plants which need zero sunlight. This is a tropical foliage plant that keeps on growing even in poor light, dry air and drought.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Creeping Fig&nbsp;</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-1024x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3880" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-1536x1536.jpeg 1536w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-60x60.jpeg 60w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-scaled.jpeg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Philodendron</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-683x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3881" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-683x1024.jpeg 683w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-200x300.jpeg 200w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-768x1152.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-1024x1536.jpeg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-40x60.jpeg 40w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-scaled.jpeg 400w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Philodendron easily adapts to low-light conditions. They come in both vine and shrub&nbsp;varieties.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The soil must be constantly moist but not wet.&nbsp;It’s best if the soil dries out slightly between watering spells.</strong></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Calathea (Peacock Plant)</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="600" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3882" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-scaled.jpeg 600w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-60x60.jpeg 60w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most&nbsp;beautiful foliage plants&nbsp;you should grow in your home. It grows well in light shade but the plant is demanding, it has a specific minimum temperature of 55 F (13 C) requirement that should be maintained.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>It prefers frequent watering (watering should be done according to the light condition and temperature) and slightly moist soil.</strong></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Peperomia</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-768x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3883" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-225x300.jpeg 225w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-1536x2048.jpeg 1536w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-45x60.jpeg 45w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-scaled.jpeg 450w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Peperomia is small striking adorable houseplant that grows up to only 6 inches tall. Due to its thick foliage, it is often considered as succulent, which is not true.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Peperomia likes slightly moist soil and humidity but watering should be reduced in winter. Spraying the plant’s leaves is helpful in maintaining the humidity level.</strong></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Devil’s Ivy (Golden Pothos/Money Plant)</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="1013" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-1024x1013.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3884" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-1024x1013.jpeg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-300x297.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-768x760.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-61x60.jpeg 61w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-scaled.jpeg 607w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You all know how toxic chemicals are and your garden doesn’t benefit much from them. Even though the market has lots of these chemical-based products, they are not safe for your garden, and for the environment. Why don’t you try a natural solution instead?</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vinegar is an amazing option that works just as well as chemicals, but instead of destroying our environment, it actually helps and it is completely safe to use.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">White distilled vinegar has numerous uses in the garden. Keep reading and find out these amazing vinegar uses:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Top 12 uses of white vinegar in the garden:</strong></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Deter cats and pests</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dogs, cats, rodents, moles, and rabbits hate vinegar. So if your neighbor’s cat has a habit of coming into your garden, spray white vinegar around that area and you won’t see her again anywhere near your home. You can also soak old clothes in vinegar and hang it on stakes around your garden. After it rains, add more vinegar.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Your clay pots will never be dirty again</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many people use clay pots because they keep the soil moist. Clay pots are also great because they protect the roots during the long summer days, as well as make the garden more beautiful. However, they tend to absorb minerals, calcium, and salt from the water and fertilizers and they don’t really look beautiful when this happens. Using white vinegar can help and make your pots look just as new. Here’s what to do:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Scrub the crusty residues from the pots</li>

<li>Dip the pots in 20-25 percent vinegar solution which would be a cup of 5% vinegar to 3-4 cups of water. Leave them in the solution for half an hour</li>

<li>If you can still notice some residues, wipe them off using undiluted vinegar</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Repel ants</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many gardeners say vinegar is the best organic insecticide. So, spray on affected areas and you won’t see ants ever again. Spray again after 2-3 days, and the ants will be gone.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. Remove weeds</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spray pure white vinegar on your walls or walkways to get rid of weeds. Your garden will look neat and amazing.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>5. Enjoy cutting flowers longer than usual</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To enjoy your flowers longer than usual, add two tbsp of vinegar and 1 tbsp of sugar to a vase. Put the flowers in this solution and change it every couple of days. The solution works as food for the flowers.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>6. Get rid of weeds</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">White vinegar is one of the most efficient “anti-weed” products.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Add a cup of salt, a tablespoon of lemon juice, and two tablespoons of dish soap in a gallon of 5% white vinegar</li>

<li>Stir well, and transfer the liquid into a sprayer</li>

<li>Spray the weed in your garden</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>7. Get rid of garden insects</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Make a combination of 3 parts of water, 1 part of vinegar, and 1 tsp of dishwashing agent, and put it into a sprayer bottle. Shake it, and spray your garden with it.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>8. Get rid of fruit flies</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The following solution will help you protect your fruits:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Combine half a cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon of molasses, a cup of water, and a quarter cup of sugar</li>

<li>Transfer the liquid into a container of your choice, and hang it on your fruit tree</li>

<li>Fruit flies will “attack” the liquid, and get trapped in</li>

<li>This solution works for household flies, too</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>9. Refresh acid-loving plants</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rhododendrons, gardenias, or azaleas will be happy if you use white vinegar. Add 1 cup of vinegar to a gallon of water, and water these plants. You will be amazed by their growth.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>10. Remove rust from garden tools</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Use undiluted vinegar on your tools. Spray them with vinegar or just dip them in it for a few minutes. All you have to do next is rinse them well with water.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>11. Fight fungus</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you notice your plants don’t grow well or there are some dark spots on their leaves, they probably have fungus or mold. Use white vinegar to get rid of this. Add 2 tbsp of vinegar to a brewed chamomile tea. Put it in a sprayer and spray your plants. You will see them become more vivid in no time.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For roses, add three tbsp of cider vinegar to four liters of water. Spray them with this and get rid of the fungus.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>12. Kill slugs and snails</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">White vinegar will keep slugs and snails away from your garden which is why it&#8217;s gardeners’ favorite “anti-snail” product.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Whether you are living in a studio&nbsp;apartment with couple windows or in a house with few darker rooms, here are 12 best&nbsp;houseplants&nbsp;that need zero sunlight for healthy growth.

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="800" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3876" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-scaled.jpeg 800w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bromeliad1-80x60.jpeg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>
</div>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="497" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3875" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-scaled.jpeg 497w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-248x300.jpeg 248w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-768x927.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/dracaena-dragon-tree-marginata-50x60.jpeg 50w" sizes="(max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The dragon tree is a plant which is impossible to kill. But, direct sunlight and over watering will make the plant look dreadful.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Spider Plant</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="800" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3877" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464.jpeg 800w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Spider-Plant-big-e1495886818464-80x60.jpeg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>
</div>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="600" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3878" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-scaled.jpeg 600w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000034375-60x60.jpeg 60w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you often forget to water your houseplants, acquire a peace lily, it is forgiving. Incredibly easy to grow, peace lily flourishes in shady locations. It also cleans up the air.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Chinese evergreen</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="600" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3879" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-scaled.jpeg 600w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/22854-60x60.jpeg 60w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Chinese evergreen plant is considered as an expert in household plants which need zero sunlight. This is a tropical foliage plant that keeps on growing even in poor light, dry air and drought.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Creeping Fig </em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-1024x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3880" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-1536x1536.jpeg 1536w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-60x60.jpeg 60w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/il_fullxfull.1439507360_j4p6-1540x1540-1-scaled.jpeg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It’s a slow-growing creeper with small, leathery dark green foliage.&nbsp;Vigorous-growing, clinging, dense branches adhere to any surface and look&nbsp;enchanting.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Be careful not to overwater creeping fig.&nbsp;Let the soil dry out before watering spells.</strong></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Philodendron</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-683x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3881" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-683x1024.jpeg 683w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-200x300.jpeg 200w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-768x1152.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-1024x1536.jpeg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-40x60.jpeg 40w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/final-philodendron-scaled.jpeg 400w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Philodendron easily adapts to low-light conditions. They come in both vine and shrub&nbsp;varieties.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The soil must be constantly moist but not wet.&nbsp;It’s best if the soil dries out slightly between watering spells.</strong></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Calathea (Peacock Plant)</em></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="600" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3882" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-scaled.jpeg 600w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/pl2000028197-60x60.jpeg 60w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most beautiful foliage plants you should grow in your home.

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-768x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3883" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-225x300.jpeg 225w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-1536x2048.jpeg 1536w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-45x60.jpeg 45w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG-9107-1-1540x2053-1-scaled.jpeg 450w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>
</div>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="1013" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-1024x1013.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3884" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-1024x1013.jpeg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-300x297.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-768x760.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-61x60.jpeg 61w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Golden-Pothos-Scindapsus-Aureum-scaled.jpeg 607w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Indoor plants are kept in most homes and offices, as people have always cherished the numerous benefits they offer. When grown inside, they cleanse the air from harmful toxins and chemicals, and positively affect health.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A study conducted by NASA in the ’80s confirmed these properties of indoor houseplants. Scientists found that ornamental plants help fight Sick Building Syndrome, which is a condition manifested by adverse effects on health and comfort in building occupants due to time spent in a building.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The air we breathe is actually stagnant, and toxins build up and cannot escape since buildings are sealed-up more than ever.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The most common toxins found in buildings and homes like benzene, formaldehyde, acetone, chloroform, dichlorobenzene, carbon tetrachloride, tetrachloroethylene, toluene, ethyl acetate, methylene chloride, trichloroethylene, and xylene.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Fortunately, their effects can all be neutralized by having some of these natural air purifying systems in the form of plants.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The NASA study showed that there are numerous plants that can purify the air and revitalize by absorbing the pollutants in the air. The positive findings actually made them decide to send plants into space to help keep astronauts’ air healthy and create an optimal life support environment.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>These 12 plants are the most effective for removing indoor toxins:</strong></h3>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">English ivy</h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="538" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/How-to-Grow-English-Ivy-Houseplant-Easily2-1024x538.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-3599" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/How-to-Grow-English-Ivy-Houseplant-Easily2-1024x538.jpg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/How-to-Grow-English-Ivy-Houseplant-Easily2-300x158.jpg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/How-to-Grow-English-Ivy-Houseplant-Easily2-768x403.jpg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/How-to-Grow-English-Ivy-Houseplant-Easily2-114x60.jpg 114w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/How-to-Grow-English-Ivy-Houseplant-Easily2-scaled.jpg 900w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Growing indoor plants is a great way to add color and vitality to your home. In addition to their beautiful appearance, many houseplants are beautifully fragrant, making your home smell fantastic too. I’ve picked 15 of the best smelling indoor plants, and some of my all-time favorites to share with you in this article.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My favorite thing about growing fragrant indoor plants is that you can bring a little of the outdoors inside. Some plants smell even more wonderful indoors than they do outside!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Enjoy my guide to the 15 best smelling indoor plants that will leave your home smelling divine!</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Twinkle Orchid&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Oncidium</em>)</h4>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="800" height="600" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/image-asset-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-3068" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/image-asset-scaled.jpeg 800w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/image-asset-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/image-asset-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/image-asset-80x60.jpeg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Though orchids in general are not known for their fragrance, this&nbsp;Oncidium&nbsp;hybrid blooms with hundreds of dime-sized flowers that emit a spicy vanilla scent.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Despite their reputation, orchid species&nbsp;aren’t too difficult to care for&nbsp;provided you give them plenty of bright, indirect light. Choose a spot with high humidity and temperatures between 70 to 85°F during the day and 55 to 65° at night. Because twinkle orchids are epiphytes, pot them in an orchid mix of fir bark and peat moss.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Stephanotis&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Marsdenia floribunda</em>)</h4>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="427" height="320" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/1024px-Starr_080530-4657_Marsdenia_floribunda-600x450-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2989" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/1024px-Starr_080530-4657_Marsdenia_floribunda-600x450-1.jpg 427w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/1024px-Starr_080530-4657_Marsdenia_floribunda-600x450-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/1024px-Starr_080530-4657_Marsdenia_floribunda-600x450-1-80x60.jpg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With attractive dark green leaves that look good no matter the season,&nbsp;stephanotis&nbsp;is a vining plant that produces clusters of waxy, sweet smelling flowers in spring and summer.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As one of the easier to grow indoor flowering plants, stephanotis just needs a good amount of bright light and a support to climb on.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Lemon Balm&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Melissa officinalis)</em></h4>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Lemon-Balm-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-3067" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Lemon-Balm-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Lemon-Balm-300x225.jpg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Lemon-Balm-768x576.jpg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Lemon-Balm-80x60.jpg 80w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Lemon-Balm-scaled.jpg 800w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lemon balm&nbsp;is a bushy, perennial herb of the mint family. Though humble in appearance, when lemon balm’s serrate, oval leaves are lightly brushed or rubbed between the fingertips, it releases a fragrant lemony scent.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Beyond its aromatic properties, lemon balm is an eminently useful specimen to have around. Clip the leaves often to flavor soups, salads, sauces and ice cream. You may also steep the leaves to make lemon balm tea, a therapeutic beverage for lifting mood, improving sleep, relieving pain,&nbsp;and more. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As a houseplant, lemon balm is easy to grow and very low maintenance. Place it on a window ledge that receives up to 5 hours of direct sunlight each day.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>English Lavender&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Lavandula angustifolia</em>)</h4>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-lavender-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2983" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-lavender-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-lavender-300x200.jpg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-lavender-768x512.jpg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-lavender-90x60.jpg 90w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-lavender-374x249.jpg 374w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-lavender-scaled.jpg 480w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The purple spiked plant beloved by natural health enthusiasts, lavender is another herb with&nbsp;dozens of wonderful benefits&nbsp;for health and home.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Though there are several types to choose from,&nbsp;English lavender&nbsp;is one of the more aromatic varieties. Keep it blooming by providing lots of sunlight and good air flow. It also prefers a spacious pot with a couple inches between plantings and monthly feedings.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>White Jasmine&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Jasminum polyanthum</em>)</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A twining vine that produces clusters of star-shaped flowers,&nbsp;white jasmine&nbsp;provides the sweet smell of summer during the winter months. It is also known as pink jasmine or many flowered jasmine.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Keep white jasmine hap</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">py by placing it in a sunny, humid spot. It looks lovely in a pot or hanging basket, just be sure to add a stake or trellis so its clinging vines have something to grasp on to.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Gardenia&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Gardenia jasminoides</em>)</h4>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="682" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/grow-gardenia-indoors-1902758-04-e40b677c6f6a4644aacdd75c6156a44f-1024x682.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-2985" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/grow-gardenia-indoors-1902758-04-e40b677c6f6a4644aacdd75c6156a44f-1024x682.jpeg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/grow-gardenia-indoors-1902758-04-e40b677c6f6a4644aacdd75c6156a44f-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/grow-gardenia-indoors-1902758-04-e40b677c6f6a4644aacdd75c6156a44f-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/grow-gardenia-indoors-1902758-04-e40b677c6f6a4644aacdd75c6156a44f-90x60.jpeg 90w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/grow-gardenia-indoors-1902758-04-e40b677c6f6a4644aacdd75c6156a44f-374x249.jpeg 374w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/grow-gardenia-indoors-1902758-04-e40b677c6f6a4644aacdd75c6156a44f-scaled.jpeg 480w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Although it made our short list of the&nbsp;worst plants to grow in your garden, gardenia might be tough but she sure is beautiful. If you are up to the challenge, this gorgeous diva just might reward you with a show of exquisite, sweetly fragrant blooms.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Gardenia&nbsp;requires bright, indirect light and temperatures above 60°F at all times. It prefers acidic soil, bi-weekly feedings, and a consistently moist growing medium.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Citrus Tree&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Citrus spp.</em>)</h4>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-citrus-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2986" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-citrus-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-citrus-300x200.jpg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-citrus-768x512.jpg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-citrus-90x60.jpg 90w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-citrus-374x249.jpg 374w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/indoor-citrus-scaled.jpg 480w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lemon, lime, orange, and other citrus fruit plants can add fruity scents to your indoor garden. Dwarfed into miniature trees, citrus needs sunshine and warmth to produce small fragrant blossoms that smell like their fruit.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Citrus plants tend to be thirsty so give them a good watering regularly and feed with an all-purpose fertilizer in spring and summer.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">While you can grow citrus plants&nbsp;from seed, you will have to wait around six years for it to mature enough to bloom.&nbsp;</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Scented Leaf Geranium&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Pelargonium spp.</em>)</h4>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Though&nbsp;scented geraniums&nbsp;bear delicate 5-petaled flowers in summer, their strong fragrance is released when the thick, fuzzy foliage is touched or rubbed.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It comes in several scents –&nbsp;<em>P. capitatum&nbsp;</em>(rose),&nbsp;<em>P. crispum&nbsp;</em>(lemon),&nbsp;<em>P. denticulatum&nbsp;</em>(pine),&nbsp;<em>P. fragrans&nbsp;</em>(apple),&nbsp;<em>P. grossularoides&nbsp;</em>(coconut),&nbsp;<em>P. tomentosum&nbsp;</em>(chocolate mint).</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Whatever variety you choose, place scented geranium in a sunny spot that receives at least five hours of sunlight per day.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Eucalyptus Tree&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Eucalyptus cinerea</em>)</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="460" height="320" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/AdobeStock_304127385-scaled.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-2990" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/AdobeStock_304127385-scaled.jpeg 460w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/AdobeStock_304127385-300x209.jpeg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/AdobeStock_304127385-768x534.jpeg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/AdobeStock_304127385-86x60.jpeg 86w" sizes="(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Also known as silver dollar tree and argyle apple,&nbsp;eucalyptus&nbsp;emits a minty, sweet, and uplifting aroma. The silvery, blue-green foliage also provides a nice visual contrast among the pure greens of other houseplants.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Eucalyptus plants are incredibly speedy growers, maturing from seed to shrub in a single growing season. Indoors, they can be pruned into a bushy form or trained to look like a tree. Being native to Australia, it needs full sun to thrive. Feed weekly throughout spring and summer with a low nitrogen fertilizer.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Sweet Bay&nbsp;</strong>(<em>Laurus nobilis</em>)</h4>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="752" src="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/55e8ad39-fbeb-4062-8e87-9206228586dd-1024x752.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2991" srcset="https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/55e8ad39-fbeb-4062-8e87-9206228586dd-1024x752.jpg 1024w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/55e8ad39-fbeb-4062-8e87-9206228586dd-300x220.jpg 300w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/55e8ad39-fbeb-4062-8e87-9206228586dd-768x564.jpg 768w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/55e8ad39-fbeb-4062-8e87-9206228586dd-1536x1127.jpg 1536w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/55e8ad39-fbeb-4062-8e87-9206228586dd-82x60.jpg 82w, https://24infochannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/55e8ad39-fbeb-4062-8e87-9206228586dd-scaled.jpg 436w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
